The safety of our personnel is a priority for WA Police Force. We demonstrate the importance of safety by fostering physically and psychologically safe workplaces, striving to prevent work incidents, promoting safe work practices, and investigating then acting to resolve safety issues.
Our Safety Management System relies on our people quickly and accurately reporting incidents such as hazards, injuries and near misses. This information is invaluable to making decisions about safety practices, training, resourcing and equipment. We rely, on this information as well as best practice and trends in policing more generally, to continually refine and improve the steps we take to ensure the safety of our people.
Safety is part of the day to day way we work in both operational and office workplaces. It’s an integral part of the way we measure our success as an agency because our people are our most valuable asset.
