Rehabilitation and Return to Work Programs

Return to work programs are developed by workplace rehabilitation consultants through consultation with the ill/ injured employee, their treating medical practitioner and their manager.

The program is based on safe work guidelines defined by medical advice about the condition and any resulting restrictions.  The aim is to make sure meaningful work is given so the employee continues to safely perform their work and feel valued while they recover.  Hours worked and duties undertaken are planned to match improvements during recovery, with the ultimate goal of returning to full duties and full-time hours, if medically appropriate.

Progress of the program is monitored and reviewed regularly, so it can be modified to suit changing circumstances.
